Rockland County Insulation & Home Energy
Much of Rockland’s housing was built well before modern insulation and air-sealing standards, which is why so many homes here have cold rooms, drafty floors, and attics that were never properly sealed. We work throughout the county on attic and wall insulation, air sealing, and home energy assessments.
Schedule an AssessmentThe work most Rockland County homes actually need.
Every home is different, so we assess before we recommend. These are the services we most often end up performing here.
- Attic InsulationKeep winter warmth in and summer heat out.
- Wall InsulationGive older walls the insulation they may be missing.
- Air SealingFind the hidden gaps behind everyday drafts.
- Spray Foam InsulationA targeted solution for hard-to-insulate spaces.
- Basement & Rim JoistsAddress drafts where your home meets its foundation.
- Crawlspace InsulationHelp make the rooms above more comfortable.
- Home Energy AssessmentsUnderstand your home before choosing improvements.
Questions Rockland County homeowners ask.
What areas do you serve?+
We work with homeowners across New York State. Most of our projects are in Rockland and Orange Counties, where our coverage is deepest, but we regularly travel further. Send your city and ZIP and we will confirm.
What is a blower-door test?+
A blower door is a calibrated fan that depressurizes the house so we can measure how much air is leaking and find where. It turns “the house feels drafty” into specific, locatable leaks.
Do you work on older homes?+
Yes. Much of New York’s housing stock predates modern insulation standards, and older homes are a large part of what we do.
Can renters qualify for energy programs?+
Renters may be eligible under some New York programs, though requirements differ and landlord participation is often required. We can walk you through what applies to your situation.
Do I need air sealing if I already have insulation?+
Often yes. Insulation slows heat transfer; air sealing stops air from moving through gaps. A well-insulated attic with unsealed bypasses can still feel drafty and lose energy.
How do I know if my home needs more insulation?+
Uneven temperatures, drafts, cold rooms, hot upper floors, and visibly low attic insulation can be signs. An evaluation helps determine which improvements are appropriate.
